About

Kylee is a Bend native with 10 years of experience in furniture design and upholstery.  She studied architecture at Carnegie Mellon University where a love of beautiful materials and traditional handwork led her to a focus on furniture design and construction.  She returned to Bend in 2016 and joined a furniture repair and upholstery shop where she learned upholstery from multiple upholsterers with decades of experience.

Millhouse Upholstery combines her love of traditional upholstery techniques with a decades-long background in contemporary design to offer a unique shop capable of everything from updating living room staples, to restoring family heirlooms.  In addition, she hopes it will continue Bend’s tradition of embracing local and sustainable options that make our community stronger and preserve the wonderful environment that makes Bend such an amazing place to live.

When she’s not upholstering furniture out of her 1930’s millhouse, Kylee enjoys skiing, running and biking in the mountains she grew up in, as well as running errands on her big pink cargo bike.
